Inaugural Macaroni and Cheese Cook Off raises funds for Meals on Wheels
Nearly a dozen local cooks participated in a Macaroni and Cheese Cook Off hosted February 18 by the Bennington Farmers’ Market. The event raised more than $400 for Bennington County Meals on Wheels programs. Jezy Robert’s “Best Macaroni and Cheese”took first place honors while Mike Giannini’s “Four Cheese Fondue” grabbed the silver. Peter Hopkins placed third with his “Macaroni and Cheese with Braised Venison. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Opening day at the park is May 6th!
Beginning on May 6th the market will run every Saturday from 10-1 at the river walk at Bennington Station and will continue through October. We have exciting demos and events planned. Our membership drive begins this month. Get our new 2017 pint glass as a thank you.
Can Your Mac & Cheese Compete?

Think about entering our Macaroni and Cheese Cook Off! The competition is open to mac and cheese aficionados of all ages and skill levels, including everyday fans of the creamy comfort food, amateur chefs, and local restauranteurs.
To participate, sign up at one of our upcoming markets, or contact Audrey at the phone/email listed below.
Bring a hot crock pot full of your best recipe by 9:30 the day of the competition.
Samples of the entries will be for sale for $1 each to patrons, who will cast ballots for their favorites. Votes will be counted starting at noon, though samples will still be available for sale.
Prizes will be awarded at 12:30 to the top three entrants.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Bennington County Meals on Wheels.
